The proceeds from the golf tournament, benefit dinner, and other fundraisers will benefit the John Baggs Memorial Fund,
which has been started to honor a man who excelled in leadership, teaching, and promoting strong family values.
To salute individuals and groups who value the ideals by which Coach Baggs lived, the fund will provide financial support
to groups throughout the Duluth area involving youth sports and cancer research.
The fund, which has just recently been started, has a board of members which will direct where the monies collected will be used. A
more detailed description of the fund will available once the board officially drafts its by-laws.
