To raise money in support of the scholarship and fund, the John Baggs Memorial Fund and Scholarship board of
directors would like to invite everyone to take part in the 2nd Annual Golf Outing and Benefit Dinner.
Last year's event was attended by over 400 people and raised just over $33,000 . The funds raised helped
lead to the endowment of the John Baggs Memorial Scholarship which will be awarded for the first time this
fall to an incoming freshman at The College of St. Scholastica.
This years event will take place on June 12th, 2010 with the golf tournament beginning at 10:00 am at
Enger Park Golf Course in Duluth. Following the golf outing, there will be a benefit dinner open to the
public (including those who do not participate in golf) held at 5:00 pm in the Reif Recreation Center
at The College of St. Scholastica.
The golf tournament will be a 5-man scramble and will include prizes, contests, and other give-a-ways.
The cost is $100 per golfer which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, and admittance to the benefit dinner.
The field for the tournament will be limited to 30 teams and the available space will be filled on a first
come first serve basis so please register quickly to ensure your team has a spot.
After the golf tournament, a social hour will kick off the benefit dinner.
The event will have a cash bar. There will be a short program, a silent auction will be held, and there
will be a drawing for other prizes to be given away. The cost is $15 for adults, $5 for children
under 12, or $30 for a family.
