The John Baggs Memorial Scholarship and Fund has been started to honor a man who excelled in leadership,
teaching, and promoting strong family values. John Baggs, a former head baseball coach at The College of
St. Scholastica, passed away in February 2009 after a 4 month battle with a devastating form of cancer.
John truly touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to meet him and his imprint on the community
will forever be felt.
The purpose of the John Baggs Memorial Fund is to help provide financial support to a variety of organizations in the name of John Baggs.
Proceeds from ongoing fundraising efforts will be put into the fund and monies collected will be distributed to various
community groups, teams, and charities in the Duluth, Minnesota area.
